- ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - Anchorage police have revised their description of the vehicle that ran down two people in a parking lot. Police say they're now looking for a red sport utility vehicle, not a red sedan, that was intentionally driven early June 1 into Nicholas Philemonoff and April Merculief.  The Anchorage Daily News reports Merculief suffered a crushed pelvis and head trauma. She remains in critical care at Alaska Native Medical Center. Philemonoff suffered a broken ankle. Police spokeswoman Jennifer Castro says surveillance video indicates the vehicle was a red mid-size SUV. The victims describe the driver as a black man about 5-foot-7 and around 30 years old. He had a buzz cut haircut. Philemonoff says two men in the car ran them down after exchanging comments near International Airport Road.
