- ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - A federal prosecutor says a former Anchorage bank employee accused of stealing $4.3 million from the vault of the establishment remains in custody in Mexico. The Anchorage Daily News says the money also remains in the custody of Mexican authorities. Authorities say 27-year-old Gerardo Adan Cazarez Valenzuela was a Key Bank vault manager until he disappeared after the July 2011 theft. Valenzuela also is known as Gary Cazarez. Assistant U.S. Attorney Andrea Steward says Key Bank and federal prosecutors are still working to get the cash and Valenzuela back to Alaska. Key Bank representatives did not return Daily News calls seeking comment.
