- JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) - The chief of police in Gold Beach, Ore., says he has nearly finished his investigation of a possible assault of a Juneau high school student at a 2012 preseason football camp. Police in Juneau launched an investigation after reviewing a video tape said to show a Juneau assistant football coach punching a Thunder Mountain High School student during an informal boxing match with boxing gloves during off-hours of the football camp in Gold Beach. The student's father says his son was knocked out. The video came to light last spring and school district officials suspended two coaches from their teaching jobs. Gold Beach Police Chief Dixon Andrews tells the Juneau Empire he expects to turn over results of his investigation Tuesday to the local district attorney.
