Police arrest 2 in wounding of crash bystander

- ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - Anchorage police have arrested two people connected to a shooting that followed a car crash on the northeast side of the city. The Anchorage Daily News reports 22-year-old Keng Her is charged with felony assault and weapons misconduct. Twenty-three-year-old Chauda Chang is charged with criminal mischief, reckless driving and leaving the scene of an accident. A car crash at 2 a.m. Sunday damaged a commercial trash bin, a light pole, a fence and a second vehicle. Witnesses say the driver fled in a white sport utility vehicle. About 20 minutes later, the SUV returned and people inside attempted to tow the smashed car. Police say a neighborhood man tried to keep the occupants from leaving and someone inside the SUV shot him. He suffered pelvis and foot wounds.
