Woman dies of injuries suffered in Anchorage crash

- ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - An Anchorage woman whose small car collided with a tractor trailer has died of her injuries. Anchorage police say 20-year-old Jenna Clarke was injured critically in the crash Friday morning on west Dimond Boulevard in south Anchorage. Spokesman Dave Parker says the case remains under investigation. The tractor-trailer rig was loaded with sand and gravel. Parker says the truck driver just after 8:30 a.m. pulled out of Noblewood Street and turned left to the westbound lane of Dimond.  was eastbound. Parker says Clark's car struck the trailer near its back end and "submarined" beneath it. The top of the car was sheared off by the impact. Channel-2 News reports the truck driver was 56-year-old William Gary Kirkhart.
