- ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - FBI crime stats show that serious crime in Anchorage has decreased in the past three decades with one big exception - rapes. The FBI's Uniform Crime Report shows that in the past 30 years Anchorage has grown by more than 100,000 people, but there are fewer serious crimes than in 1981. The crime report includes data about murder, forcible rape, robbery, aggravated assault, burglary, motor-vehicle theft, and larceny and theft. It says overall crime in Alaska's largest city decreased 6 percent last year. But it says that forcible rape from 2010 to 2011 rose from 264 to 283 cases. That is the most in the past 30 years.
