- ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - An Anchorage man faces assault charges after allegedly stabbing another man in the back over a debt. In a Monday statement, police allege 21-year-old Mark Kalugin stabbed Rasean Daniels, who was sitting in a vehicle outside his girlfriend's home Sunday afternoon in south Anchorage. Police say the masked suspect opened the car door and demanded his money. They began to fight, and police say the 20-year-old Daniels was stabbed. Daniels was treated for multiple stab wounds to his back, and is expected to recover. Kalugin was scheduled to be arraigned later Monday. Online court records didn't list an attorney for him.
