Appears coop-raiding bear at it again

- ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - A brown bear that is believed to have raided numerous chicken coops in the past week in the Hillside neighborhood of Anchorage appears to be at it again. The Anchorage Daily News reports that the bear apparently broke a window on the side of a garage Sunday night. Fish and Game wildlife biologist Dave Battle says the homeowner saw the bear prowling around his yard the day before. Battle says there is no way to know for sure if this is the same bear, but he guesses it is. Last Wednesday, a homeowner shot and wounded the bear after it tried to break into his chicken coop. Officials say in the next few days the bear hit at least five more chicken coops.
