- JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) - Testimony is expected to wrap up Thursday in the Juneau trial of a man accused of killing two Hoonah police officers. Defense attorney Eric Hedland said he was not sure yet whether John Marvin Jr. would take the stand in his own defense. Marvin is accused of first degree murder and weapons charges in the deaths of Hoonah Police Department Sgt. Anthony Wallace and Officer Matthew Tokuoka. The two were gunned down in front of Marvin's home in the village on Aug. 28, 2010. Attorneys spent part of Thursday morning discussing potential jury instructions, including the possibility of allowing jurors to consider manslaughter or diminished capacity.
