Man gets 41 years in wife's stabbing

- ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - A man who stabbed his wife more than 20 times at an Anchorage hotel has been sentenced to 41 years in prison. The Anchorage Daily News reports that Saliym Cureton was sentenced Monday in Anchorage Superior Court. Judge Michael Spaan sentenced him to 40 years for attempted murder and another year for violating a restraining order. Cureton implied that another man hurt his wife on Jan. 30, 2010, but the judge said he was confident the right person had been convicted. Thirty-one-year-old Dorean Donovan had filed for divorce a couple of weeks before the attack, and she had sought protective orders against her husband at least four times. Donovan says she feels the sentence is not enough punishment.
