- KETCHIKAN, Alaska (AP) - A warrant has been issued for a 27-year-old Ketchikan man charged with writing bad checks. The Ketchikan Daily News reports District Court Judge Kevin Miller issued a $10,000 arrest warrant last week for Larry A. Gray. Gray is charged with nine counts of forgery, plus theft and attempted theft. Police say Gray worked at a flooring company and stole nine checks. Police say he forged the owner's signature and cashed seven checks in January to steal nearly $3,200. A bank rejected an eighth check written for about $4,500 and a retail store refused to cash a ninth check. Police say surveillance camera shows Gray cashing the first seven checks.
