Motorcycle driver injured in crash near Wasilla

- WASILLA, Alaska (AP) - A man on a motorcycle is in critical condition after a head-on crash with a car near Wasilla. The injured man's name was not immediately released. State Troopers say the motorcycle driver just before 9 p.m. Sunday was northbound on Trunk Road heading toward the Palmer-Wasilla Highway when he lost control on a curve. The motorcycle crossed the centerline and struck a sedan driven by 26-year-old Matthew Reid of Wasilla. Troopers say Reid was nearly stopped with the crash occurred. The motorcycle operator was not wearing a helmet and suffered severe head injuries. He was flown by air ambulance to an Anchorage hospital.
