Trapper Creek man dies in head-on collision

- ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - A Trapper Creek man has been killed in a crash involving a tractor-trailer rig and a truck. Channel-2 reports that 60-year-old David Roach was killed on impact in the head-on crash late Monday night near mile 104 of the Parks Highway. Troopers say that Roach was headed north on the highway in his Toyota pickup when he crossed into the oncoming lane of traffic. Seventy-one-year-old Donald Braun of Anchorage, the driver of the tractor-trailer rig, was unable to stop in time and the trucks collided head-on. Braun was taken to Providence Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
