A radio show about Anchorage ghosts and the people who have encountered them.
The Ghost Show is hosted by Rick Goodfellow, a member of the Alaska Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame and the guide for The Ghost Tours of Anchorage, which has walked the streets on Alaska’s largest city for the last three summers.
The Ghost Show usually features guests who have experienced paranormal phenomena but the phone lines are open and listeners are encouraged to call in with questions or their own experiences at 522-0750, or Email to Ghosts@kfqd.com.
The Program airs Saturdays at 6:00 p.m.
Goodfellow began researching Anchorage ghosts eight years ago because of his interest in history and later started offering walking tours as a way of sharing some of his findings.
“I keep getting asked if I have ever seen a ghost,” he says. “I always have to reply, ‘No, at least not that I know of.’”
But Goodfellow adds that he’s open to the experience.
“You can’t talk with all the people I have who have seen ghosts – many of whom are pillars of the community – and not conclude that there’s something real and substantial behind these stories,” he says. “This radio show is a way to continue offering ghost tours when the weather is too cold to spend two hours out on the streets downtown.”
