JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) — Alaska Gov. Mike Dunleavy says his administration will no longer respond to or participate in hearings led by state Sen. Lora Reinbold. He told the fellow Republican in a letter Thursday that she has used her position to “misrepresent” the state’s COVID-19 response. He also says her demands for information are “not based in fact.” Reinbold has criticized the governor for issuing pandemic-related disaster declarations while the Legislature was not in session and has raised concerns about masks and vaccines. On social media, she defended the committee she chairs as having had “incredible informative hearings fighting to protect constitutional rights.”
