KFQD Interview: Special Olympics Alaska’s Polar Plunge Goes Virtual

The Polar Plunge is Special Olympics Alaska’s largest fundraising event, usually drawing hundreds to Goose Lake each December. This year, due to the pandemic, the event won’t feature people jumping in the frozen lake – but instead is asking people to raise funds for Special Olympics with video challenges online featuring creative plunge alternatives. Special Olympics Alaska CEO Sue Perles and GCI’s Paul Landes join KFQD to discuss changes to this year’s Polar Plunge.
