The U.S. Census Bureau is cutting 2020 census data collection a month short, with door-knocking and the ability to self-respond now set to end September 30th. This comes as Alaska’s self-response rate sits at about 49 percent – well below the national average. Census Bureau spokesperson Donald Bendz spoke with KFQD’s Toben Shelby about collection efforts.
