ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) – Anchorage police say a passenger in a car who shot an Anchorage police officer over the weekend was a 16-year-old boy. A second police officer, Jason Cusack, shot and killed the boy, whose name was not released. Police say the bullet fired by the teen struck the first officer’s badge and deflected into his body armor. The officer sustained injuries that were not life-threatening. The shooting occurred early Sunday. The car carried a male driver and four male passengers. Police say the teen was in the back seat, pulled out a gun and fired shots at the officers.
