A 26-year-old man is facing multiple charges related to theft of University of Alaska Anchorage property, along with a separate break in. Anchorage police say Zachary Hutchens was arrested last Thursday after being spotted by APD and UAA officers as they were investigating a van that had been stolen from the university. UAA police had previously identified Hutchens as the suspect, and also believe he stole a TV from the campus. Furthermore, APD says Hutchens matched the description of a man caught on surveillance footage in a burglary case March 10th at a home on West 25th Avenue. After questioning, Hutchens was charged with vehicle theft, two counts of burglary, and two counts of theft for the three crimes.
